Committees
We believe that there’s a place for everyone to get involved in our community, whether you’re interested in leading as a board member, helping out on a committee or just getting to know your neighbors. Taking the time to get invested in where you live allows you to put down roots, serve the community and build lasting friendships with people nearby. If you’re not sure where to start, contact a committee organizer or the board for more information. Volunteers are always welcome to participate in any or all of the following committees:
Architectural Control Committee
Ron Bissell Chair, Jesse Bennie, Mike Wilson acc@hpnhoa.org
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is a Board-appointed committee composed of three members who serve one-year terms with the opportunity for reappointment. The ACC is responsible for reviewing and deciding upon all homeowner requests for property improvements. By ensuring that all modifications comply with the Highland Park North HOA covenants and governing documents, the committee works to maintain our neighborhood's aesthetic appeal and safeguard property values.
Amenities
Pat Percy amenities@hpnhoa.org
We’re looking for hands-on volunteers that are willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty in an ongoing effort to make our common areas shine. This could be helping with tasks such as cleaning and organizing our pump room, fixing a sign, or other small tasks. This helps us to keep our common areas looking great while keeping our dues low.
Yard of the Month
Juanita Bissell yom@hpnhoa.org
We love celebrating neighbors who go the extra mile! Each month, our Yard of the Month Committee selects a beautifully maintained or seasonally decorated property to receive special recognition. As a heartfelt thank-you for keeping our community vibrant and attractive, the chosen homeowner will receive a $50 gift card and the privilege of proudly displaying the Yard of the Month sign for 30 days.
